Who we are and What we do
Welcome to the Limes Farm Community Group! We are your neighbours, here to make life on our estate in Chigwell a little warmer and more connected for everyone.
Since re-launching in 2021, our passion has been to bring our community together. Whether it's through a simple chat over a hot drink and toast at our Community Cafe, or celebrating together at big events like the Jubilee party, our goal is the same: to create a friendly, supportive space where everyone feels they belong. We're here for you and because of you.
Come and join us, share a story, and be part of what makes Limes Farm a wonderful place to live.

I am the Chairperson of Limes Farm and Grange Hill Community Group and also serve as a Community Champion for Chigwell, volunteering on behalf of EFDC. My involvement with the community group began in 2020, and I have held the role of Chair since 2021. Together with other members, I have successfully organised a variety of events at Limes Farm.
In my capacity as Community Champion, I have participated in initiatives led by EFDC and have coordinated numerous activities at the Chigwell Parish Community Hub, collaborating closely with the Chigwell Parish Council.
My work in these roles is deeply rewarding, as it enables me to contribute positively to the health and mental wellbeing of local residents and to foster a sense of community improvement.

Meet the Team
We're the people who make up the Limes Farm Community Group—a diverse team of your neighbours, fellow residents, and dedicated Community Champions. We share one simple passion: making Limes Farm a wonderful place for you and your family to live and thrive.
We’re the friendly faces you'll see at the Community Cafe, the organisers behind the scenes at our events, and the people you can always turn to for help or information. We came together from all walks of life to serve our community, and we love what we do.

Secretary, Community Champion
Kiely Sheppard
Kiely first connected with the Community Pantry as a client, and quickly found herself inspired by the team’s dedication and warmth. Motivated to give back, she became a volunteer and has since played an active role in supporting others in need.
With a passion for creative activities and public engagement, Kiely enjoys organizing events that bring people together and foster a sense of community. She’s also a proud member of the EFDC Community Champions Team for the Chigwell area, where she’s helped deliver several successful events at Limes Farm Community Garden (LFCG)—with many more in the pipeline.
In her new role as Secretary for LFCG, Kiely contributes to the group’s growth through administrative support, coordination, and planning.

Community Champion
Frances Critchley
Hi, I’m Frances Critchley and I volunteer at Chigwell community hub, and help with the community group activities.
I've enjoyed volunteering for years and discovered Chigwell Community Hub and food pantry by chance. Learning about their services and volunteer needs, I joined the team and later became a community champion for Epping Forest District Council—a role I’m proud of. I enjoy meeting people in the wider community, especially during Thursday warm spaces with our core group and various activities like crafts and bingo. I’m happiest preparing tea, coffee, and lunch while chatting with everyone.
